CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)
Athlon intends to give added impetus to the development of the Company’s CSR policy (Corporate Social Responsibility). Reporting on matters related to CSR is especially important because CSR is increasingly affecting the financial state of affairs in the Company. This information is one of the factors on which financial target groups base their investment decisions. In addition, orientation and reporting on CSR make a positive contribution to Athlon’s image.
In the coming period, Athlon will be initiating activities to identify CSR aspects relevant to the Company and assessing the way in which they are managed in the organisation. The outcome of these activities will give us a sound basis for formulating the Company’s CSR policy, with particular focus on the relationship between social policy, environmental management and financial performance.
To give added impetus to the development of the CSR policy, Athlon has entered into a cooperation agreement with CSR Nederland, an independent organisation and the Centre of Expertise in the Netherlands for sustainable business development. Furthermore, this cooperation with approximately 100 other partners from various sectors of society is expected to help resolve social issues with the input of domain-specific knowledge available at Athlon.
